Listing a $6 million dollar home is both a joy and a challenge. Obviously, such a home needs to be staged.
The staging company of my Bellevue luxury home listing chose a color scheme of gold, black and white, and silver for the paintings and accessories. The furniture complemented the contemporary design of the three-story home.
We finished the garage floor with a black and white speckle epoxy to match the home’s interior. As the day of the listing drew closer, we needed to procure two cars for the photography. Thankfully, one of the subcontractors volunteered his black 1968 Ford Mustang Mach 1. To contrast that American icon, we were fortunate that Park Place Motors of Bellevue let us have the first-ever SUV by Aston Martin, the 2021 DBX.

The men in my life are important to my wife.
I was only 14 when I decided not to pursue a career in accounting. Instead, I set my sights on becoming a graphic designer.
How did I decide that? One of my teachers, Herr Schmidt, declared that I was never going to be good at math. The other, Herr Hengstler, told me that my artistic talents were remarkable. Especially in our formative years, we are easily influenced.
In college, the man who influenced me the most was Armin Hofmann. He taught graphic design at the School of Applied Arts in Basel, Switzerland. I was one of nine students in the four-year master’s class. Upon graduation, he told me to take my portfolio to Munich, where my first job awaited me. It was that easy.

Many times my clients become my friends. It happens when we share the same interests such as creative marketing and when we discover that we are kindred spirits. Despite very different backgrounds and ages two decades apart, we have much in common. In this case, we both value creative expression of any kind in any form.
Creative Marketing: The best commercials are no longer on TV.
This time, it was a commercial my friend wanted me to see. It wasn’t for a major brand or made for TV. Created for a video game, it was the official live-action cinematic trailer for Warpath. It is over five minutes long. George Lucas and Steven Spielberg would not mind having it on their resumes.
About six months ago, on December 13, 2020, I resolved to get back into shape. I joined a program called Noom. It’s not a diet, but rather a method to think and act about eating, sleeping, and exercising.
Today, I can say that I’m almost there. I started at 230 pounds with a goal to lose 50. This morning, the scale showed that I’ve just two pounds to go.
