From the seller’s perspective
The ideal place to enjoy family, friends, and nature
Over the past 14 years, we raised five children in this home. Now that they all have left it is time for us to move on, too.
We enjoyed the beautiful country setting of this home. We spent many hours outside reading and entertaining on the deck, playing in the large backyard, and gardening. In the morning and evening hours, our family conversations on the deck were mixed with the chirping sounds of nature. In the spring when the weather is warming, the sound of birds, frogs, and crickets is a special feature of this place. My favorite memories are the BBQs on the deck with my sweet children. Everyone took part in the preparation. The lingering conversations as the darkness fell upon the yard gave way to a sea of stars and a brightly shining moon. My husband’s favorite time of the summer days was hanging out on the deck and reading while the children and pets were playing in the large backyard.
In spring, the front yard is a cheerful and changing display of color as the rhodies come to life. Over the seasons, we enjoyed the changing colors of the center tree which produces berries that attract the robins. Winter, when the leaves fall, and the trees are bare, brings to light a beautiful view of Mt Baker.
Although the home is relatively secluded, it takes just 5 to 10 minutes to shop for groceries and most everything else. One of our favorite destination was the nearby Maltby Café where we had breakfast with family and friends. They are known for their huge cinnamon rolls.
Speaking of food, our four girls learned to cook in our kitchen. So did our son who was the BBQ burger chef of the deck. The smell of fresh coffee brewing and leisurely sharing mother-daughter time at the dining room table will always be one of my favorite memories of this home. The sweet fellowship we enjoyed together in this house will remain with us for a lifetime.
Now, it’s time to say good bye and put up a sign saying “Snohomish home for sale.”
