Useful Washington State County websites
Washington State County websites provide valuable real estate information for sellers and buyers. Wherever you live, your home on the web is there for all to see. And there’s nothing you can do about it. Anyone can know your home’s age and size and see the property taxes you paid or haven’t paid. What you can do is correct outdated information. Here are the main links for real-estate-related Washington State County websites:
Beyond Washington State County websites
In addition to useful Washington State County websites, each municipality and some government associations provide valuable property information for home sellers and buyers. One of these association sites is the eCityGov Alliance. There are also sites with information on building permits and parks and recreation.
Some of these topical pages are being discontinued and redirected to the participating cities. Still, it is handy to have the links to different cities all in one place. The cities include Bellevue, Bothell, Issaquah, Kenmore, Kirkland, Mercer Island, Sammamish, Shoreline, Snoqualmie, and Tukwila.
If you are interested in demographic data, I recommend two useful websites that are national in scope. One is City-Data which lists hundreds of cities and neighborhoods for the state of Washington. You can also search the site by the state for Cities, Schools, Assessments, Restaurants, and even Sex Offenders.
Another useful website is this data search site operated by the United States Census Bureau. Enter “Seattle” and the first thing you learn is that the city’s official 2010 census population count was 608,660.
Aside from population, the search categories include Age, Business and Industry, Education, Governments, Housing, and Income. You learn, for example, that in 2018 the estimated median household income for the City of Seattle was 70,594, and for the Bellevue 98004 ZIP code that number it was $102,374 (2014 data).
